UTK Small Animal Oncology Clinic
The Oncology Service at the University of Tennessee Veterinary Medical Center provides state-of the-art diagnostics and offers treatments for many different types of cancer of dogs and cats. Some of the most common cancers we see include mast cell tumor, lymphoma/leukemia, fibrosarcoma, osteosarcoma, bladder tumors, and melanomas as well as many others. We have CT and MRI diagnostic capabilities, on-site pathologists, surgeons and both medical and radiation oncologists. We offer traditional treatments such as surgery, radiation therapy with our state of the art Linear Accelerator, and chemotherapy as well as clinical trials that explore novel cancer treatments.
We are fortunate to have highly educated, enthusiastic and compassionate faculty, residents and nurses to support the owners of pets with cancer through the treatment process. Our ultimate goal is to make people realize that the diagnosis of cancer is not the end of the road. There are options that provide pets with cancer with normal quality of life, and extend their survival.
